How Our Vendor Model Works
Maker Market Collective operates on a flat-rate retail space model.
That means:
• Vendors rent a dedicated retail space in the shop
• Vendors keep 100% of their sales
• There are no commissions or hidden fees
This model allows small businesses to gain physical retail exposure while maintaining control over their pricing, inventory, and brand.
What We Look For in Vendors
We aim to curate a well-balanced shop filled with high-quality and unique products.
We typically look for vendors who:
• Create handmade or designed products
• Produce consistent, retail-ready inventory
• Have clear branding and packaging
• Are ready to grow their business through retail
• Are excited to be part of a collaborative small business community
We love working with vendors who treat their space like a mini storefront for their brand.
Vendor Space Details
We offer several types of vendor spaces depending on your product needs.
Examples include:
• Shelf Spaces
• Table displays
• Clothing racks
• Vendor-provided display setups (when approved)
Our goal is to create a beautiful, cohesive shopping environment while still allowing each brand to shine.
Vendor Terms
We keep our agreements simple and flexible.
• Minimum commitment: 3 months
• After the initial term: month-to-month options may be available
• Vendor payouts: twice monthly (1st & 15th)
This structure allows vendors to test retail while building long-term presence in the shop.
What Vendors Are Responsible For
Vendors maintain control of their business within the shop.
Vendors are responsible for:
• Setting up and styling their display
• Maintaining inventory levels
• Pricing and labeling products clearly
• Keeping displays clean and organized
• Promoting their products and the shop when possible
Successful vendors typically refresh their displays regularly and introduce new products throughout the year.
